You might have already seen Cheyenne Jackson in United 93, he was playing the role of a heroic young man who attacks the terrorist in order to avoid a catastrophe...
Not very famous yet on the big screen, this actor is more used to Broadway scenes. Cheyenne Jackson has starred in many leading roles in very different musicals!
Exemples? Rocky, the beefy naked creature of the famous Rocky Horror Show that I actually saw on stage on Broadway (maybe it was Jackson this night?) Radames in the fabulous Aida by Elton John and Tim Rice and finally in... Xanadu, the adaptation of this cinematographic 80's UFO on roller skates with Olivia Newton-John.

Olympics: Matthew Mitcham

On the cover of the American influential gay monthly The Advocate: Matthew Mitcham (born March 2, 1988 in Brisbane) who recently came out of the closet. One can understand why the (gay) blogosphere suddenly got super interested in this discipline and most particularly to this young talent ;)
The interview states that Mitcham does not want to be compared with Greg Louganis, an American diver born in 1960 who came out in the 90s. Which is a shame cause Louganis posed naked in Playgirl in 1987 before starting writing books...
Below, some nice dives during the 2008 Shenzhen competition.
Good luck for the games Matthew!!

Iko's Tainted Glass

While I was reading Libération's blog "Les 400 Culs", I heard of this rather peculiar artist who works on tainted glass. This media, generally devoted to religious artwork, is "hijacked" for more modern pieces of art, often being very provocative.
Diego Tolomelli has created a whole series of erotic tainted glasses in his IKO studio. More information and more pictures on his website: click here.

Bring Ya To The Brink!

Cyndi Lauper is back with a dance album! Yay! After vague folk and retro tentatives, Cyndi Lauper goes back to her first love with ol'fashioned well produced dance music. The crème of European electro producers accepted Miss Lauper's invitation: The Scumfrog, Basement Jaxx, Digital Dog, Axwell, but also Dragonette and New York based Richard Morel.
An upbeat album that seriously rejuvenate Lauper's sound, even if the singer still signs the lyrics. Perfect timing for the release during the Pride month. We know how Cyndi Lauper has been deeply connected to the gay community since the 1980s with her statements: her True Colors tour reunited many great gay and lesbian artists for charity concerts across the US.
